Bike Repair

Well readers I've had to take time out to take my road bike to get some new parts fitted. I've took it the the cycling legend Dave Marsh in maltby, south yorkshire. I spotted a photo hanging in the shop of a young Malcolm elliot. Who at 48 years of age was the last British winner of the national tour in 1990 and whose career stretches back to the 1980 Moscow Olympics. He has currently scraped into the top 10 on the current Tour of Britain happening this week. I liked reading that after yesterdays stage Bradley Wiggins donned training kit and rode the 25 miles home to Chorley rather than travelling in the Garmin -slipstream team bus.

Well readers if you ever wanted to see a slice of "Booze Britain" in all its glory look no further than visiting Doncaster today as race week reaches its climax with the St leger this afternoon. The people of Donny sup some stuff today thats a fact. And looking out my window the sun is out today so it promises to be a good one. I'm taking it easy today to be honest I didn't feel 100 % well yesterday.

Shifty

Get renting or buy the dvd "Shifty" with daniel mays, riz ahmed and jason flemyng its a great british film, with a good soundtrack. Shifty is an action packed 24hrs in the life of a young dealer on the outskirts of London.

Ladies Day

Well I popped across to Salford very swiftly early doors, on my return to Donny, I'd forgot we'd reached the calendar event that is "Ladies day" for Doncaster Race week. It was too much for this single man it was a sea of legs and cleavage and big hats on my return to the train station, as the ladies were off to the races.

Lazy Oaf Blog

Readers this evening I found out I have my illustration up on the Lazy Oaf blog visit http://lazyoaf.co.uk/blog/ find me with eight other including sir Bob London we like his work at Heighton HQ. Reet kettle on. We continue.

Lions

I've just read that a place in Doncaster is trying to raise the cash to buy some lions from a zoo in romania. The way things are managed in Donny let alone animal enclosures; one would escape and I'd be confronted by one on a bike ride and have to demonstrate sprinting skills on the bike on par with Mark Cavendish.
