Sunday, Sunday

I really can sniff September now. Autumn is en route readers the scarf will be dug out soon although I think I need a berry coloured one this season. This afternoon I plan to be out on the cycle doing the miles like yesterday afternoon, stop half way where the cycling super stars stop off for a brew and cake. Me and my mate didn't spot Russell Downing he was in Ireland winning a stage of the Tour of Ireland.

Berry Good?

Reading a fashion article today it looks like Berry tones and add a flash of colour to autumn's sober palette for men's fashion this season is order of the day. There you go chaps wear those Berry tones and be deemed a "Cool Cat?". The new issue of Varoom has been delivered to my door with a sexy front cover image by Jasper Goodall. It makes good reading that journal.

If you could Diary 2009

I loved playing out in the rain as a kid. Worst luck my contribution was not selected, but I look forward to seeing the diary when its all been put together.

Manhattan

I've read that the FBI is appealing for owners of 137 artworks which were discovered in Manhattan. The artworks were found in the apartment of an occasional art writer and genealogist William MV Kingsland who died in March 2006 aged 62. His collection included works by Alberto Giacometti, Pablo Picasso and Odilon Redon. But over the months the story of this private art collector has slowly turned into a deepening mystery of double identities and theft. The Giacometti bust in his collection was valued at $1m, which Kingsland used as a doorstop!

Dylan lisle

Readers visit the new new website of Dylan Lisle on a tea break with some biscuits www.dylanlisle.com to see some great paintings of naked ladies there really great.

Coleslaw

I've read that a large pot of KFC coleslaw contains 22.4g of fat more than its fillet burger 15.6g or large fries 19.4g. I have to wonder if a mix of shredded cabbage, carrot and mayonnaise isn't a healthy option, what on earth is? At the moment I'm on a healthy food regime following the food poisoning  I suffered.

Power On

I woke up this morning to having no electricity, I was struggling to find the energy myself. It was a crisis not being able to power up the laptop or make a brew. Fear not readers after 10 am this morning, it was power back on and kettle on. I feel like a new man with the first brew down me. Skates on "It's the Good life, full of fun".

I'm sure I saw Bill Oddy in the back there the other day doing a Woody the woodpecker impression. I've not seen any foxes for a while. Going out cycling early doors I've spotted a few foxes on the prowl, a Deer, even an Owl on my travels. I'd like to spot a badger, minus the mash potato.

Mr Fox

I've been thinking after seeing Quentin Blake last week my favourite Roald Dahl books were Danny the champion of the world and Fantastic Mr Fox. I once had a primary school teacher called Mr Fox and I can remember art lessons with him drawing stuffed animals. One of them being a fox and a golden pheasant. I also remember my mates mucking about in those classes laughing so much we got thrown out some of us got to stand in the corner. But I didn't get into trouble.
