Commando

When I was encouraged to start my blog by my good mate Dan, never did I think, I'd write about Judith Chalmers pants or lack of them. Chalmers the presenter of Wish You Were Here the holiday programme that for 30 years told middle England where to visit and stay in the world and enjoy. Well this week Chalmers told Graham Norton that she did'nt wear pants on camera! "So what" I said, but reading the Guardian today it's stirred Tanya Gold "knickers are a window to the soul", she writes about her mate Joceyln who wears little pants. Tanya writes, They say:Maybe no,and maybe yes.Come back later and the latch maybe off. And what do no pants say? They say:"Come in and have a snack, all meals are served in five minutes" he, he I've learnt today through her article that British women have a split personality about underwear put simple women have two drawers for there drawers; one for when there vaginas go out, and one for when they stay home and mope. Thank goodness readers Ive learnt that today hmmmmmmm; but to quote a chap who annoyed me when I overheard him in conversation  [one of them boring types who thinks he's cool with a personality, but does'nt know style if it hit him] "So What!"

A Hat Like This

Ladies who read this blog you got through Ascot without any fashion disasters; now you need a New hat for Wimbledon 2008 like this one when your digesting all those games and especially to be worn when Sir Cliff Richard stands up to sing in a rainy interval.

Arshavin

I've produced an illustration for tomorrow's Guardian an article by Simon Hattenstone about Euro 2008 with the focus on Russia and that player who has a surname that sounds a bit rude. He's a talented player who dribbles, chats and pulls silly faces when playing.

New Deal

Gordon Brown is looking for a new oil deal, at 8.30 am on a sunday morning I was looking for a new tea bag. Wimbledon fortnight is upon us so its gonna rain for the next 14 days, mix that with more talk in the media of the credit crunch  we will all be laughing I'm sure?. Hats off to Lee child, 53 from Birmingham who was fired at the age of 40. On the scrapheap with a family to support he spent £3.99 on paper and pencils with the ambition of writing the biggest-selling book in the world's biggest market: America. Thirteen years later, Child reaches the summit today when his 12th novel, Nothing to Lose, starring his anti hero Jack Reacher which goes straight to number one in the New York Times hardback fiction list, 10 places ahead of Sebastian Faulk's James Bond rework Devil May Cure. Child has topped the number one paperback charts in America and the charts in Britain.

June 15th

Here you go readers on June the 15th 2008 I've reached the grand age of 29 and a half? six months to go before I hit 30.

Tidy?

Well readers; I've been sorting through my books and magazines and old videos generally having a good clear out. Oh boy did I find some gems I'd forgotten about [the American Ninja on VHS for starters? and an impressive back catalogue of GQ and Arena magazine plus some other titles??]. You cannot beat the smell of old books on a late evening clear out. Although I've been more careful in my sorting; with what I'm taking to the charity shop opposed to DJ Chris Evans who offloaded a Damien Hirst painting to his local charity shop by mistake I've learnt this weekend. Someone got a bargain Im sure.

But Me Brew Lass??

Ladies and gents all this poor chap wants to do is drink his brew before going to work for an honest days graft somewhere in the North of England travelling in a white van singing Tv's Minder theme song.

Pencil

Yesterday I picked up a pencil to do a doodle for the first time in ages I usually draw with a pen whilst looking out the window drinking tea singing to whatever CD may be on. Anyhow well done Lee Mcqueen on winning the Apprentice. Looking out my window today its a rainy day so if I venture out I'll dig out the waterproof jacket "Let it Rain".

The Raccoons

Reading the all new adventures of illustrator Dom trevett on his great blog: www.cyclingacrossamerica.wordpress.com he has bumped into a dude cycling the globe on a penny farthing? he's been rained on, he's done an interview and been attacked by a raccoon for his food. If I'm honest I just wanted to squeeze the word "raccoon" into my blog because I loved that cartoon as a kid. I've even just watched the title sequence for The Raccoons on Youtube not seen that in ages; its cool many people agree with me on this one you know who you are?
